THE AMERICAN BAPTIST CHURCH:

The American Baptist Churches of Ohio is comprised of over 300 Baptist churches throughout the state. This fellowship gives us an opportunity to collaborate and build relationships in a cause of winning others to Christ. Our church is represented at the annual meeting by our church’s elected officers. This organization can make recommendations to the local church, but does not have jurisdiction over the local church.

The American Baptist Churches, USA, is comprised areas, associations, state, and/or regions. Our church sends “delegates to this larger fellowship for the annual meeting. This organization connects the local church to our American Baptist Church family and provides  extends the mission of the local church across the nation and around the world by providing leadership and knowledge.

The Baptist World Alliance is comprised of many of the major Baptist groups or associations. This assembly meets once every five years in various parts of the world, which helps us to appreciate the fact that Baptists are “proclaimers,” as our Lord commanded.

The local church is responsible to carry the Word of God through its local budget and its missionary budget.
